Corin Education Strategies works with you to assess your financial aid options. We always suggest that students submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year beginning with the student’s application year and continuing through all a student’s college years. We recommend filing the FAFSA even when a student or family does not think they will qualify for Federal or State financial aid. Filing the FAFSA will often open doors to institutional scholarship, merit aid, and other financial aid opportunities that students and families had not otherwise been aware. We explain where to look for other scholarship opportunities and encourage students and parents to take control of their college financial aid process. We also explain the CSS Profile, the other, but often little known, financial aid vehicle required by some colleges to which your student may (and should if offered) apply and that may also unlock significant financial aid/merit aid options for your student.
